DON'T SHOP DAY!!! (In protest of the upcoming Bush Amnesty)
Grassroots Effort ^

"DON¹T SHOP DAY" IS CATCHING ON!! COMING TO TV!!
A major TV media outlet will do a story on the January 12th -- "Don¹t Shop Day." They have asked for an interview tomorrow!!! SEE http://tinyurl.com/3h5gn
WE NEED TALK RADIO TO DISCUSS THIS ACTION! We need you to call those talk shows!
Remember these talking points:
WHY?
A. Bush political advisors tell him voters have NO PLACE TO GO to protest his amnesty plans since all the Democrat candidates support amnesty. (See: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20030906-120054-6125r.htm)
HOW?
B. Since they think we have NO PLACE TO GO, we should let them know what they are up to by GOING NO PLACE on January 12, 2004, the first day of Bush¹s visit with Mexican President Fox in Mexico City. In other words, don¹t shop, don't go to movies, etc. Stay at home!
NO ONE IS HURT--
C. This is not a boycott. There will be no real economic damage to anyone, just a demonstration of our ability to protest. It's a win-win situation!
THERE IS NO SPONSOR--
D. While American Patrol is supporting this effort, there is no official sponsor. It is a true grassroots effort.
WHAT AMERICANS ARE SAYING:
Here is just some of the email feedback:
+++++++++++++++++++++ Everyone is really getting the word out. I think it's going to have a big impact. -- Along the same lines I think we should add: Make No Bank Deposits that day. Do not pay any bills (from the 9th-12th), and no online shopping either. -- Sincerely, Shanna in Arizona +++++++++++++++++++++++++ I did a search for historical events for the days between now and Jan.12th when President Bush will meet with President Fox, and the day when hundreds of thousands of Americans will not do ANY shopping. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Tuesday is the anniversary of the U.S.- Mexico border. Wednesday is the anniversary of the opening of Ellis Island. We will add another day: January 12, 2004 - the American people protested illegal immigration with their pocketbook. Barbara V. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The no shop day on 1/12/04 could stop Bush dead in his amnesty tracks if it catches on, and I very much think it will. My friends and family are spreading the word fast. The media is always writing about the great economic clout of the Latino lobby to make driver's licenses and Latino benefits happen. This could be a demonstration of REAL economic power that could upstage Bush/Fox in Monterrey Mexico on 1/12/04. This Bush-amnesty counter-measure is a brilliant idea. Suddenly we don't have to be observers watching our citizenship, sovereignty, and laws being thrown away. L.B., Riverside, CA ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I wonder if President Bush will give another speech in Spanish after he gives amnesty to the next 10 or so million criminals.

Oh, I hope he does. He should. If he wants to be the Illegal Alien President, he should speak directly to his constituency.

Good point. I hope his advisors realize the importance of this.

Jose's faint hope of hapiness may brighten a bit, however, if new legislation... Congress would never do that - I'm sure that this will be a one time never to be repeated amnesty.

Just two questions:
1) What is wrong with Bush's plan for amnesty?
2) What is the alternative solution.
1 MY Social Security that I have worked for all my life will be used to support these Criminals who have broken the law. P.S. What part of Breaking the law don't you understand Naspino??
2 Alternative solution. Enforce the Immigration laws that are on the books that were created to safe guard our country from Illegal Aliens and possible Terrorists.

"They"/you have been doing nothing of the sort.
All your group ever does is say what can't be done or why it's immoral or how we supposedly "need" these workers when we have people on unemployment and welfare blah blah blah.
It's all BS.

He's already doing it. They have made it clear that his plan is based on what Mcbuttstain proposed.

They're illegally here, they're not accounted for. There may be 3 million. In the time of the last blanket amnesty there were by all estimates about 300,000 people living illegally in the USA, so many came over to get in on it after it was announced and there was such massive fraud that over 3 million got their amnesty --- most of whom had never before stepped foot in the USA.
I've never seen one article that has pointed out that the last blanket amnesty was beneficial in anyway to the Republican party. Why is Bush so sure this amnesty will bring him in all these votes? At one time the Hispanic vote went primarily to the Republicans --- it never has post 80's amnesty --- so it doesn't apparently lock up their votes. The hispanic vote is now at best about 1/3 Republican --- and it's more likely it's the non-immigrant portion of what's called the hispanic vote that votes Republican.

Get off your little pink "I'm allright" cloud and live in California for a while. You'll learn. I went to USC and lived in Santa Monica for six months about two years ago. California's not as bad as some people make it out to be.

But we agree to all their conditions --- and they agree to nothing at all.Yes, one of us is either very stupid, or very smart.
I believe that this is one of those tactical logic plans that have a end game.
I see a North America that is separate in name only within 20-30 years.

According to just about every poll that I've seen on the subject of illegal immigration, about 70% of the American population would support such a move They support reducing the number of illegals in this country. I doubt most Americans are willing to take it to the extreme of rounding up people at gunpoint.

I've been hesitant to take much stock in the New World Order aspects of this debate, but I believe you are correct, in a sense, that the path charted by Amnesty is the eventual eradication of borders. I don't know if it would be by design or by bumbling, but once that Orwellian threat became apparent, there would be an American civil war. What then of pluralism and judical nominations? Will the Illegals have been worth it, to cast aside this experiment of ours for base, short-term political gain? Would the Constitution, as we know it, survive? Mexico would become our Quebec in such a superstate. Assimilation would stop where linguistics begins. Who needs this?

For so-called third world conditions in our cities you can thank the Democrats, not economic refugees. LOL. Excellent point. Detroit became a pit in the 60's-70's when there was nary an illegal to be found there.

Huh--interesting. Keep me informed.
The smug Rove attitude of "Where're ya gonna go, the Dems wouldn't enforce immigrations laws either--" is enough to make me stay home in November, or write in "Tancredo"--

Check your map again Fufkin. You got it all screwed up. That's the most logical route from Sierra Madre, Joe. Check your map.
