Similar thing happened to me. I complained about a gay pride poster at work and was almost sent to sensitivity school. I even used all their buzz words..offensive, divisive, all the -ist words. When I asked if we could display a poster proclaiming 'it's great to be straight' you would have thought I was asking permission to burn a cross. Tollerance, as practiced by leftists, is a joke.

How about displaying a poster of a huge cross? Would that be allowed? Probably not. But this anti-Christianity bs has been predicted in the Bible. We're just witnessing the first stage. Problem is, there are just as many stubborn people as I am out there, that will balk and rebel against this anti-Christian pro-gay propaganda. First it was force-fed pro-abortion. Now this. What's next? Promotion of beastiality? It sounds ridiculous, I know, but then.....ten years ago, what has already happened would have sounded riciculous. Ya?

Tolerance, free speech and diverse opinions are a 'no-no' to leftists. Just look at how restrictive the Democratic Underground is. I was banned there just for posting something positive about the Bush Administration. They really didn't want to hear anything other than the usual '1,001waysihatebush'. And that is exactly how the country would be run if the leftists had their way. Just like the DU.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I got called into see the corporate shrink in March for making some politically correct remark of which I was only informed vaguely of the specifics (supposedly not, as I suspect, comments in support of the WOT). Thanks to a fellow Freeper who was an expert in dealing with this kind of thing (WISH I could remember who), I played along and even tried to turn the tables by letting her know the insensitive and unkind remarks made about my particular ethnicity-disability. Oh, she assured me, I would be welcome to lodge complaints against the offenders. Yeah, sure, I thought and get a reputation for being thin-skinned as well as politically incorrect.

The one thing I learned is that listed corporations, even if they can't afford an adequate staff of people who actually do the work and, consequently, have the worker bees do the job of 1.5 to 2 others, they always manage to afford someone in HR or training or whatever other department is assigned to insulate them from lawsuits against the PC nazis-- often by hiring one.
