More proof that millions of Catholics are hopelessly liberal, just like the Vatican, even if it means being suicidal in doing so.

He said that the group of people gathered on the day the Roman Catholic Church observes the Killing of the Innocents. According to Christian tradition, the Judaean King Herod, fearing the coming of a Messiah after Jesus birth, ordered the execution of infant boys in Bethlehem. Cordaro, a former Catholic priest, said the biblical king had been trying to protect his political position through the executions. We believe there are modern day Herods who are killing innocents for the same reasons, Cordaro said. The base took the protest, the 25th annual, in stride. We exist to protect peoples right to free speech, said Offutt spokesman, Lt. Bob Everdeen.
Maybe, to protest "killing of the innocents", they should protest outside of abortion clinics!

Cordaro has served six six-month prison terms for violating such letters by crossing onto the base.
Doesn't seem like half a year in the slammer is much of deterrent for this guy (must not be having serve his time with the general population). Maybe they should give him two to five the next time around.

The seven people who were detained were issued barment letters, Everdeen said. The letters mean that if within the next year any of the seven cross again onto the base which is demarcated by a line on the ground they could be arrested and face charges. Cordaro has served six six-month prison terms for violating such letters by crossing onto the base. Sounds like a habitual offender to me; perhaps a much longer stay in the "Gray-Bar Motel" is in order?
