A booze-sniffing ankle bracelet is changing the way Marion County court officials keep tabs on people convicted of drunken driving.
The device detects alcohol in the wearer's sweat. It's a great tool, experts say, for keeping some people away from the drinks that get them in trouble.

I'm not a "WOD" type but someone I loved was killed by someone else who was driving while under the influence of drugs. This article doesn't say the device detects the presense of any drug except alcohol.
I am not on a campaign to wipe out drugs or alcohol, just deeply saddened when I think about it.
all of this is make work for the police and attornies, and like speeding tickets, are just another excuse to tax those who can not afford to hire a trial lawyer
the cost obviously far out weighs the effect as exampled by this silly article
drunks will drive drunk irrespective of fines/penalties/tax ,,, the strident ones just want to make the bar so low that everyone is an offender
