Tom Ridge surely has a lively debate going on in the administration, with the President, with the cabinet, etc. I don't see a debate here other than those who are angry they aren't having the ear of Tom Ridge as well as his decision to follow their personal lead. If anyone thinks these issues,,the borders, arming citizens, etc, haven't been discussed in the WH and with Tom Ridge, well they are mistaken in my opinion. Sure we debate agencies and their impacts. But most of us assume that the people who are running the country at this time are trying their best. If you begin by calling their stupid, dim, dumb, etc and continue with attributing malice to their motivations, the debate is over. It is just propaganda at that point.

I'm a little puzzled at the emphasis on airplanes...that must be where the intelligence leads, which I personally find a bit odd. Perhaps al-Qaeda isn't very imaginitive.

In traveling on the interstates during the holidays, however, security seemed, if anything, less that usual. Fewer marked patrol cars on the highway than one usually sees during holiday periods, and although there was plenty of truck traffic, the weigh stations were all closed.

I see. So in your opinion debate should be limited only to active members of the government. There's no place for activism.

I wonder, then, what you're doing on this site? Do you realize the first 3 years of this forum's existence was largely spent speaking out against Clinton Administration policies?

Do you apply the same restraint to Democrats?

BTW, what happens when one begins by calling their opponents "goofballs" as you did in #40? Have your posts been nothing but propaganda from that point?

I notice you tossed the first hand grenade on this thread.
