As a reformed Liberal (I voted for Carter twice) I would warn this lady to keep attending her 12 step meetings. Liberalism is a powerful poison. We can't overcome it on our own.

Here in my lair, I've been asking myself whether a case can be made that liberalism is the ideology of the Last Man Nitzsche wrote about.

It occurs to me that so much of what we call "education" is focused on cultivating the same sort of glib nihilism - the same moral sickness - the author of this piece has personally experienced and written about.
