An illegal alien faces charges in Charlevoix county for threatening a young child. Deputies say late Sunday night a 25 year old man threatened a child with a nine inch steak knife. By the time officers got to the home off M-75 south in Boyne Valley township, the man had run off. He later returned to the home and after a short struggle with officers, they arrested him. He's facing charges for assault, tampering with phone lines and destroying property.
