But my son, who will be joining other American son's to fight your countrymen, doesn't have the luxury of the distinctions that we can make here.

Why would my son have to go to Iran to fight Iranian's, when he can fight all the Iranians he wants in Iraq?

Lets not play word games here. America is at war with militant Muslims who attempted to kill tens of thousands of Americans; where ever those Muslims reside. And those that support and sympathize with them are also culpable.

But I do not wish to hijack this humanitarian thread, so will bow out. Thanks for the responses.

The sad truth is that we won't be able to send enough help to save the lost souls. I hope we can send enough to ease some of the suffering. The amount of suffering is incomprehensible and any bitter actions in the past by a few should not diminish that fact.

And, the US has failed Iran in the past. It was our weakness in the 70's that let the Mullah's come to power. We should have been stronger then. I hope we are stronger now.

I just heard reports from Iran that when the USAF crews were preparing to leave Kerman Airport for home, that the local Iranians were pleading with them not to leave and begging them to stay.

My sources are trying to send me photos and recordings of the incident.
