Thanks for your on-the-scene clarification, V. Confiscating and re-allocating the proceeds of local property taxation is, in effect, the same as imposition of that tax by the state. I would love to see a property tax revolt in Vermont, along the lines of California's prop 13.

Your comments were valid but I wanted everyone to know that we always had a property tax. It's now been hijacked

Vermont doesn't have an initiative process so no amendment is possible using that method. The only hope is to totally remove dems from all legislative power and retain a republican governor.

Then, there's a chance of some improvements.
