He is an apt symbol of how all our children have lost normal childhood. Freaks in the mall whose pants are sagged and whose skin is pierced were once innocent little babies. Girls are wearing words across their backside we were never allowed to say.

Agree...BUT if our children have lost direction and childhood it is our fault for not taking charge and not teaching them manners, respect and proper decorum. One cannot blame the children if they are savages, one must look to their parents, community and schools. If a child cannot find direction at home or school they are lost. An we are a lesser civilization with each lost child, each child that cannot read or do simple math or has a child at 13 or drops out of school...they become our "child" for life.

My pants have words across the back.
One pair says "snoopy" and another "garfield". Two of my faves. : )
Shopping in the young mens dept a Krogers (our biggest store in town) was a bit much with the crude sayings on shirts.
I bought my son a t in that Dept. and it is the only gift he demanded that I return. It said Jesus is my Homeboy. My son loves Jesus and said he would be embarressed be seen in that T. I think hokey is the word I would use to describe what he said.
