How do you "destroy" something the size of the Grand Canyon by allowing a few boats and campers to float the river? And since it is a massive example of erosion and basically a hole in the ground, isn't it constantly renewed or worn down to new layers by the erosion process. No this is just an example of wanting to lock up a resource and drive up the price of admission to something that belongs to the American citizens - or used to. Total BS.

The Grand Canyon was recognized by the United Nations as World Heritage Site at the request of our legislative representatives in the United States.

This in turn puts it under a whole different set of treaty rules. Common sense no longer applies to anything done there.
