Normally, I, like everyone else here, can't stand this stone racist, but this was good for a larf. Thought I'd share it with those of you who habitually ignore McGruder...

Temple Owl,
Think McGruder might realize there's humor beyond calling Condi a "House N*gger"?
Nah, probably not.

"Negronia". I like it.
The concept this cartoon strip demonstrates: that some of the materialistic excesses of black 'culture' are simply stupid, is well stated.

Oddly, McGruder seems to swing back and forth between rascism and parody of blacks. It's strange.

And the old grandpa , who is treated sympathetically, is right on, much of the time. He seems to be modeled on Clarence Thomas's grandfather, who raised him.
His favorite saying: "Old Man Can't died -- I buried him yesterday!"

I don't know why people keep saying this comic is racist. Today's strip is a perfect example that both whites and blacks are targets for social commentary. I think if half the people who claim this strip is racist were to read it on a regular basis, they'd see that black culture is torn apart far more than whites. Oh, by the way, I'm white and I vote Republican.

McGruder goes to the extremes at times, but his clinton strips during that time were hysterical and he rips on blacks who he thinks is making a mockery of themselves.

Even a blinded-by-anger racist hog occasionally finds an acorn of truth.

They are killing each other over those spinning rims, which I understand can cost $10K per set (!)
I got an idea based on the same principle: build a wheel rim that has colored LEDs that are set up to "rotate" or flash as the wheel turns. They can keep doing this while stopped.
I bet somebody else is already selling something similar.
Me, I guess I'd pay $50 for "continuously spinning" hubs on a new car. They do look sort of cool. $10K--you HAVE to be joking.

McGruder does occasionally have a funny one, like today's, and his strips have made me laugh, but I just don't like the way his strips portray Condoleeza Rice, or other blacks, seeming to spout the party line that they're not "black" enough, otherwise, why would they be in a Republican administration.
To: Owl_Eagle
Yeah, he can be funny about Black culture and I was reading him occasionally, but then I read a story about a speech he made which was over the top nasty and in which he made remarks that made even his liberal audience uncomfortable.
During his talk, he bragged about calling Condi Rice a murderer to her face.
Personally, I think Condi could take his little pansy butt, but was too ladylike to do it.
After that, I felt it was my moral duty to ignore his strip.

I only ever saw those hubs on one vehicle, a large pickup, and the driver was white.

He's doing us a favor. Everytime they run one of his editorial cartoons on the comic page, there's a drop in circulation.

Do the characters always frown like that? Yes, After years of being beaten down by the white man and sold out by race traitors, you'd frown too.
To: TexasCajun
Time to get over it, don't you think?
