You would not believe what I have seen here in Ca the last 15 years. Cities that were mostly anglo, are now 65-70% hispanic. The signs and billboards are in spanish. My area is not affected....yet, but I sold my home and I am moving to Nevada. This place is lost.

Oh, I can believe it. I and my husband are both California natives. My parents grew up here and went to the same high school in Los Angeles. We left California after our house was burglarized twice, I was carjacked in my driveway, and my husband was laid off and layoffs were coming for teachers. (They still are coming this year for teachers, by the way.) We lived in an area that used to be fairly good, at least crime-wise, but it went downhill fast when people began cramming multiple families into one house. My husband's hometown was also nice 20 years ago, but now it is scarily bad in some areas. Who's committing the crimes? Young, illegal, single males. It's a shame. The area used to be a nice place to raise a family, but it sure isn't now. When I left, most of the teachers in my school were jealous. The lower class places were the first to fall to the crime and crowding, but if things continue as they are, I fear you are right and that the mid-upper class areas will also fall. The lower-middle class areas already have.
