here's an idea: legalize them.Uh, did you forget the part about "legal" immigrants raping our social services and sucking the rest of our paychecks "down" to compensate for their rabid usage of the system? The problem is, they don't make/contribute enough to pay for their usage. Legal or illegal, they are killing the American dream.
And next time grow a bigger brain and try not to jump on the "'ism" bandwagon. Use of the word "bigot, racism, homophobe, etc." generally mask an individuals inability to grasp logical concepts and support an argument.

Here is some more information for you to ignore or even worse spin.

I've heard this line a dozen times on this thread and the answer is always the same: abolish the welfare state, not immigration.

Right On Target!

Go to Mexico, as a non-Mexican citizen, and try to set up housekeeping and get a job in violation of Mexican immigration laws and see how far you get before Mexican law falls on your head like a ton of bricks. stupid mexican laws are not an excuse for stupid american laws.
But you believe, as you noted in another post, that everyone on the Planet Earth has a "right" to the "American Dream" and that there should be no controls whatsoever on immigration.
As another poster mentioned, that would include 300 million untouchables from India, 400 million Chinese, 100 million Bangla Deshis and on and on and on.
You believe that unlimited entry by outsiders into where you live is a "right" of those outsiders and you call those who disagree "stupid"?
Tell you what, talk is cheap.
Back up your Utopian rhetoric with action.
If you promise to permanently share your house with them, I will personally walk the streets and homeless shelters of Seattle to find ten homeless people to move in with you.
Draw up that promise as a legally binding contract and I will sign that contract obligating myself to pay airfare for those people from Seattle to your nearest major airport and taxi service from the airport to your front door.

"If someone who is found here illegally, kick them out. If an employer is hiring illegals, throw the book at them. It's really not that complicated."
Exactly, why has it all become so complicated? Why give them amnesty?
Here's another suggestion (tongue-in-cheek) since jobs are being outsourced to India why not outsource some of the jobs to them in mexico? (dont flame me, just kidding)
Just keep them out of our Country!! Protect our borders!

The economic consequences of this illegal alien crisis are dire, but not as dire as the political ones. This issue more than any other single issue threatens our nationalism. In that sense, it is nationalism versus the new world order. A nation can be defined in many ways, but a nation that thrives and prospers must have borders which are recognizable and respected. A nation must also have laws which are universally understood and uniformly enforced. By those criteria, I question how much longer we can claim to be a nation, given that we do not have the political will in either party to deal with this crisis. We are becoming nothing more than a free lunch counter in the new world order. During the Depression hoboes had a way of marking homes that were easy pickens for a free lunch. So it is with our country, we have become an easy mark and little more than a patsy pitstop on the way to the new world order.

Smells like a class war to me. It is a war against the middle class, law-abiding, tax-paying American lead by Republicans and demoRats alike.
Neither party gives a rats a$$ about the damage they are doing to their fellow countrymen, they are too busy counting the increased profits from illegal alien labor in the Repub's case, and the potential millions of new voters in the Rat party case.
Oh yeah, and the public be damned, let them eat cake, etc.

So now we have the Russian mafia, the Colombian drug traffickers, etc. the russian mafia exists because the government bans or restricts gambling and prostitution. colombian mafia exists because of the War On Drugs. 99% of organized crime exist because of government restrictions on something people are willing to pay for.

What I find shocking is not what the article says. I am very familiar with that.
What is shocking is the article was first published in DECEMBER 2000 and nothing has been done to correct this situation. In fact, it is worse!

"ain't talking about amnesty. I'm talking about unconditional, free immigration for all able-bodied persons without a criminal record. everyone has a right to the American Dream"Based on your criteria, why shouldn't we bring in 300 million untouchables from India, 100 million Banglideshis, 400 million Chinese, and 400 million from the continent of Africa?
That's way too few, when you figure in the 4 billion people who want to come here!
