I will throw my vote away on a third party in order to regain influence over the republican party.
may be 8 years or 16 years from now but the republicans will figure out the CANNOT win with my conservative support.
Or I can vote for W and slowly slide down to full socialism.
I have kids so I have to make every attempt short of picking up arms to stop the BS.

I can't say that I'm willing to vote for a third party or stay home on election day but the failure of the Bush administration to get a grip on Congress and Big Gov policies is becoming a concern that I am at a loss to answer.
In theory, when a Pres or any other elected official disappoints, then voting against them, and for a better idea, is the way that the electorate has to make his/her voice heard. The problem is that on the campaign trail, Bush professes to mirror my smaller government sentiments but he is not coming through in his actions.
I don't want him to think that my vote for him means my endorsement of his big spending/big government programs of the first term. On the other hand I have no other way to get my voice heard.

Exactly. It's time they stopped taking our votes for granted and returned to principled thinking.
