what does 9/11 have anything to do with cfr or no child left behind or sarbanes-oaxley or the farm bill or the education bill or the omnibus spending bill or the prescription drug or the steel tariff or stem-cell research funding or prescription drugs.

"TC, don't blame the politician for such problems, after all this country is still built upon the power of the public vote, and that being the case, perhaps you should focus your frustration on the "narrow minded" and not the political messenger?"

The power of the voter temporarily ends once the official is elected. As somebody said to me recently, "democracy can be like a sheep and two wolves voting on what's for dinner".

Perhaps the answer lies in nominating only good and trustworthy men, on both sides, and weeding out the garbage, like Bill Clinton, et al. But as Samual Adams said: "Our Constitution was designed only for a moral and religious people, it will work for no other".

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Just maybe if we stopped invading their countries, meddling in their internal affairs and stopped looting their natural resouces, "they" wouldn't feel it necessary to defend themselves. Even the nuttiest of the bots could surely see that when you put American troops on the ground in Saudi Arabia, that you are asking for trouble. A big part of the problem is that we are only presented with one side by the government propagandists. We have a history in the ME of supporting puppet dicatorships while talking democracy. The only surprising thing to me is that the Muslim world hasn't responded even more violently.

"Clinton was just careless and disregarded our National Security. I don't believe he had a secret deal with bin Laden, that's preposterous. I don't think even the Sinkmeister would sink that low."

While not probable, it IS possible. To absolve Clinton as careless is giving him the free pass he counted on, IMO.

1. Sadaam has WMD's and the nuclear bomb, if we don't attack immediately he will attack the United States.

2. He didn't use them on our troops but they are in Iraq, we know exactly where they are at.

3. Well, Kay will find them; of that we are sure.

4. Well, Kay hasn't found them, but the main thing is freeing Iraq and establishing Democracy.

5. Well, there are a few Sunnis, but as soon as we get them rounded up, the Iraqis will love us.

6. Puleeze, we need 87 billion to rebuild the damage we have done and keep our troops there for another year.

7. Tell Bremer to get his ___ in gear. We have to get out of this mess before election.

8. Arete, I am shocked that you think that these people would tell a big one.

So many words... so little thought...

Unless I am mistaken, not one cent of spending can be authorized except by Congress.

Had this verbal hissy fit been written about Congress, I would have to agree 100%.

Judging by your comments on a multitude of other threads, I would infer that your chances of having voted for George Bush, ever, are as likely as me voting for Ted "Chappy" Kennedy...

Yes indeed.

I knew a State Department Puke who was instrumental in setting up a bunch called "Taliban" to fight Russians. Russians went home, Taliban stayed.

That Puke is well retired at Hilton Head.

"...and stopped looting their natural resources......"

Do we pay these countries for their oil? Or do we just take it, for free. If they have no market for their 'natural resources', if they can't sell that oil, just how are their lives going to be improved? So tired of hearing this liberal drivel. I'm going to have some lunch. Have fun, all of you.

Jimmie post his little articles each day with an inflamatory edit in the title and then runs and never responds. Speaks volumes for his Party he's pushing along with his avowed dislike for the President.

I wonder since Jimmie claims to have voted for the President in 2000 just what made him think President Bush was a conservative back then? I wonder where he got his information. President Bush has never been a far right wing conservative to my knowledge going back to his days as governor. He is conservative in a lot of things but he has always went along to get along. He worked with what he had.... My guess is Jimmie was/is ignorant of what he thought President Bush was....
