Actually, the piece was intended to "polish up" Alterman's sordid image. There is no improving Soros's megalomaniacal image.

The thing about blind-sided liberals.....they never see the contradictions in their statements.

"Hey, Soros is just practicing "free speech" but with a louder voice (/sarcasm)."Well we know one thing for sure! Mellonscaif's money sure couldn't buy nearly as many amplified left-loving media bullhorn's as Soros' have/will!!!
What a contrast between Hungarians... George Soros vs Balint Vazsonyi!!!
One learned something from totalitarianism, the other didn't!!! One came to love America, the other came to hate it!!!

To declare oneself an unapologetic liberal in mainstream political debate these days is to invite abuse. Correct. Now stand still. I need to make sure not to splash the machinery around you.

Alterman failed to include an important point in this love letter to Soros....the Dems would be lost without his money because they're not getting it from the 'Amurrican people'.

Only if you make insipid, outrageous statements, Eric.

Where is there any evidennce of this? Soros is best known to my friends in asia as currency thief!!

Much of the reaction to Soros's announcement that he will spend $15.5 million to fund education campaigns with America Coming Together, voter mobilization drives with MoveOn.org and research activities with the Center for American Progress (CAP)--where I am a senior fellow--has verged on the comical.I stopped reading his editorial after he admitted that he was in their pocket.

Excellent retort, IA. This is the MO we've come to expect from these characters:
When they have something to hide, they employ powerhouse PR guys who saturate the media with glossy stories about their so-called "tolerance and compassion" and that they are "defenders of democracy."
That's the tipoff ....when they mention "democracy"....a sure sign of a crooked deal going down.
The PR campaigns give these characters cover to continue their subrosa deals to ripoff the working class.
The most despicable part of the plan is their elitist, unmitigated contempt for the rest of us.
These master manipulators actually believe the rest of us can't figure out what they're up to.
Just a friendly word to Eric and George, "Better go to Plan B, guys. We're onto the game."

Soros almost destroyed the economies of Thailand and Malaysia by manipulating their respective currencies, and pocketing ONE BILLION DOLLARS in one day for himself in the process. This man is evil to the bone!!

Soros has done other dirty deals all over the world. I would hate to see him get any real political power, as he has enough money to buy the peolpe he needs to do his dirtywork. He is one dangerous man!!
