Iran's arch-foe Israel offers condolences
ABC Online ^ | 12/27/2003 | AFP

The Israeli Government offered condolences on Saturday following the devastating earthquake in Iran, saying it had "no conflict" with the Iranian people, despite its enmity with the Islamic regime.

"The Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, Sylvan Shalom, addresses in the name of the Israeli Government and the people of Israel condolences to the Iranian people after the catastrophe," the Foreign Ministry said.

"The Government and people of Israel are moved by the human tragedy experienced by the Iranian people and believe that despite all differences a mobilisation of the whole international community is needed to come to the help of families of the victims and wounded," it said in a statement.

Tehran has called for international relief aid from any country except Israel following Friday's quake in south-east Iran, according to a provisional official estimate.

In my opinion, no country should come to their aid unless Israel is included.

The condolences are meaningless, seeing as the Jews are no doubt the ones who caused the earthquake, in addition to every other bad thing that has ever happened to Muslims throughout history.

To ward off another earthquake, Iran should be sending aid to Israel.

Agreed in principle, but in fact, folks are hurting who don't deserve to be ignored.

I agree with the fact that no one should help them unless Israel is included.

To ward off another earthquake, Iran should be sending aid to Israel.

That's a fact!

The Islamic Regime says "no" to Israel, and "no" to its people.

Agreed in principle

Principle without conviction is a slippery sloop. Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.

According to this list, Iran has suffered several bad ones; maybe a lot of aid to Israel?

Iran's arch-foe Israel offers condolences

At first I thought that this was a Freeper's attempt at driving home a point... Then I actually went to the web site, and this is the title of the article as posted by ABC!

"Iran's arch-foe?"

That's a little bit harsh isn't it? I'd always thought an "arch-foe" to be someone who promised your own destruction... Funny, how to the world press, Israel is always the "bad guy," what with offering disaster aid to a country who has been actively working to murder its' own people, and has promised that when they get a working nuclear weapon that it will be used on Israel.

Damned Zionists!

Mark
