I thought you couldn't fire an employee that gets called up? Am I wrong, or does that not apply to government jobs?

I know that to be the case w/ private sector jobs. Not sure wrt governmint jobs. It should be, tho we all know how gubbermint likes to exempt itself from the rules the rest of us have to follow.
