Stories like this make me sick as h***! Here these guys (and gals) are fighting for us and for our freedoms and the freedoms of others, and some businesses can't even be bothered to take care of them when they return from battle.
There are exceptions, though. From what I have read, Sears has become a good role model for its support of its employees in the armed forces. Any Sears employee that goes active has his/her job held and is also paid the difference between their military salary and their company salary.
I don't know if this is really true or not - perhaps someone can confirm?

I heard the same thing about Sears...maybe I heard it on Paul Harvey or read it in the Journal. It was at least six months ago...
