We can't catch any drug dealers, murderers, rapists, or other perpetratrators who terrorize our cities, but we sure as hell can make sure these old farts don't gamble by playing bridge. Actually, Mr. Mayor, bridge is not a game of chance, but you are either too young or too stupid to understand that. I think it is not age but stupidity in your case. Run for higher office so the old folks can vote you down and make you try to earn a living doing something that we are currently importing Mexicans to do because we can't find enough unemployed Americans to do hard and dirty work. When your unemployment runs out, you will be ready to get down and dirty and haul garbage, etc. under the direction of a new and more enlightened mayor or mayoress.

There was another thread, about cops breaking up a prostitution ring or something, and someone made a similar comment to yours. They were immediately attacked by someone who said something like "What, are we supposed to allow smaller crimes when bigger crimes are going unsolved?"

And I think the answer is - YES! We've got to have priorities!

Davisfh was right when s/he said that this is probably "the only crime that city officials have been able to solve in recent times." I think it's because these "perps" couldn't flee for fear of breaking their hips.
