You could be setting yourself up to have a dear loved one at death's door and wanting prayer yourself. Would you prefer the requests be posted in a relatively seldom seen religion section or in the most populated section? Charity would look better on you about this issue, IMHO. Oops. You unfortunately tipped off the real issue, haven't you? Nobody goes to the religion section. That's why non-newsworthy religious posts wind up in news, right?
Because people come here to read news, right?
Looks, it's Jim's house and his rules go.
Just don't be so smug and self-righteous about it. Jesus wouldn't approve.

Goodness, I want no smugness to my account and repent for any such.
Just typing my opinions and feelings FWIW.

Oops. You unfortunately tipped off the real issue, haven't you? Must really suck to be so cold hearted.
News Flash - "The so-called Tall_Texan has drilled it down. The owner of the Free Republic actually has a heart of flesh and blood, and good will toward his brothers and sisters, to allow the trifling non-news posts for prayers to show up in the News folder."
Oh, the horror of it all.
