There were so many people it was confusing exactly where the ends of the lines were, he said.

Call the personal injury lawyers, this is what the suit will be about. Never mind the assault and battery committed by the demented ones in the crowd.

Wal-Mart security did little to either calm the situation in the store or break up the fight in the parking lot.

This won't be good for the store either I would think. sheesh.

There is a significant number of cases in which WalMart was found culpable by a jury for failing to provide adequate parking lot security. This was true in several cases even where the store management had been put on proper notice that assaults against women were occuring with regularity.

WalMart has a reputation of litigating with a scorched earth policy of denying everything, even those things that are openly clear. The company undertakes to accuse the victims of these assaults as frauds and engages in a calculated campaign of calumny regarding the victims.

The company portrays itself as everything good and pure in American life when the reality is that it a corporate monster that preys on its labor force and the gullible consumer.

There is no doubt that the company is entirely responsible for the safety of consumers in their stores and on the outside property. The store had the legal duty to assure the peace of the check-out lines and the security of those standing in those lines and leaving the premises.

I hope the victim in this instance hits WalMart hard in the only place the company's management cares about; the bottom line. The defense will consist of the wringing of hands, the gnashing of teeth and the attempt to transfer blame to the victim. This corporate pirate should have a stake driven through the space where a heart would customarily be found.
