"Walmart checkout line etiquette ... speak softly and carry a big stick?"
I would say you got it right. Ii it true that one is not allowed to carry a concealed weapon inside walmart? I guess if the guy owned and carried and couldn't carry at that store he could sue them? It would be intersting to see them revise their policy due to that one................

I guess if the guy owned and carried and couldn't carry at that store he could sue them? It's Illinois, so your average citizen is deprived of his basic civil right-to-carry.
However, good point, I suspect most states that give buisness that option hold them non-liable?

I believe that Illinois is one of the few states (along with Nebraska) that prohibits any type of concealed carry. Not sure if Walmart has a national policy for all of their stores.

[Is]it true that one is not allowed to carry a concealed weapon inside walmart? No, that is not true. Where did you get that idea?

The walmart here put up no weapons signs, several people complained, and asked walmart to take charge of the weapons while they were in the store. It didn't take long for the signs to come down. I always carry when I go into a walmart store.
