LOL I said why. The NE is heavily vetted by lawyers and more reliable than the NY Times. One way to judge the truth of the article is to watch and see Rush - than whom fewer have deeper pockets - avoid the libel/slander lawsuit against the NE the way he is avoiding confronting the truth about his addiction.

I find it both predictable and sad that so many putative conservatives would mount a liberal defense of a conservative. You folks are doing Rush no favors. Your defense tends to buttress the veracity of the observation Rush truly didn't believe what he was saying.

If Rush was speaking about a liberal doing what he did, he would savage him daily and produce hilarious comedy skits/songs ect. THat he is not subject to the same treatment tends to make one see his defenders as liitle different than the defenders of Bill Clinton's perversions.

Rush, repeatedly, says his "talent is on loan from God." So is his body. Holy Writ says , !st Corinth:6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

So, Mr. Conervative pollutes his body like a dope fiend and the entire mess is blamed on liberals?

Being more reliable than the NY Times is not that hard. How many times has the NE been sued, and how many millions have they paid out in settlements? I will reiterate: My belief is that the prosecution will not actually charge him with anything, they are just going to leak everything out to the press and let them do the dirty work.

Ya know, Catholicguy... I was going to respond to your National Enquirer based rantings and ravings, but suddenly I remembered the ancient Catholic advice I once received.

It went something like this: "When someone is determined to make a fool of themselves in foaming at the mouth over someone's shortcomings, including your's, step aside and let them rage on!"

Then the old Proverb came to mind since you've gone "biblical" at this point and it goes like this: "Tis better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!"

Get a grip little man and hold back some of your bilge till you actually have some truth to go on. Right now you're just being another "conclusion jumper" and it's not becoming, if you know what I mean.
