Sometimes (not often enough), the ACLU is right.

Like when they tried to defend the Americans of Japanese extraction during WWII, Of course they helped a lot.

Of Course the ACLU was in there with the NRA when trying to stop the gutting of the 1st amendment this year.

So Occasionally Like a stopped analog clock they get it correct.

This is purely a political move to get the ACLU on the good side of average Americans again, till the next outrageous spectacle of lopsided (or libsided) civil rights protection.
