If the ACLU did not pick up on this travesty abuse the civil rights, it would be criticized for hypocrisy in the first degree.

Just because they exist to criticize politicians from the left, just like journalism does, is no sign that they are wrong in this case.

Sometimes (not often enough), the ACLU is right. It is nice that they seem to believe that medical privacy has to do with things besides just abortion. A few leftists are smart enough to realize that politically motivated "criminal" investigations are bad for everyone. They can be useful allies. Too bad that much of the left is run by neo-Stalinists who dream of creating show trials.

There are good civil rights causes, this is one.
Right is right.
And it will potentially bring together folks who need to start talking, and stop yelling. This is bigger than
party politics, this is party politics dominating law enforcement, and needs to be stopped.
