****Are you aware of the financial cost to every US citizen from these illegal aliens?****

Less than paying full price for honest labor.

But at the same time the County hospitals near points of entry are being submerged. As are their counties. This is part and parcel of the disfunctionality of the system as it stands today.

Something must be done. A system must be put in place and followed. This would keep out the criminals that concern all of us as the foolproof ID could not be obtained by anyone with a criminal record. Jail time for people who hire non ID carrying wetbacks would be absolutely necessary to the system.

Those who say they do not benefit from illegal allien labor are just fooling themselves. Food costs alone would go up 50% if there were suddenly no illegals. Actually we could not produce the food we do without them so cost would not be as critical as actualy availability.

They are in every facet of food production and distribution. Every facet.

That goes the same for construction and service industry and manufacturing. If you don't know this you are not looking.

a system is already in place -- why not just follow it? Also, what database would you suggest be searched to find Mexicans' criminal history? There's no way to do a proper background check on Mexican criminals' crimes in Mexico. Are we supposed to foot the bill for the creation and maintenance of the database? We already have an administration which is unwilling to do workplace enforcement, so what makes you think they would suddenly do their duty with a guest worker program in place?
