Dragon's Fury-The Long March (Vol IV) is an outstanding read that lives up to the anticipation of those who, like myself, are fans of the first 3 volumes of the Dragon's Fury series. It also can be considered a stand-alone volume with all the background the author provides, however I would urge any fan of military techno-thrillers to read the first 3 in progression first.
The Long March brings an exciting culmination to the scary, near-future World War III scenario depicted in the series, but still leaves the reader longing for more. The techie weapons system writing is very cool, plus this volume is excellent in terms of character development. There are no super-heroes fighting this war, only ordinary people who summon the physical, mental and spiritual strength to face this daunting challenge for the very survival of the free world.
This book also puts you in the shoes of the enemy, and is frighteningly believable. I hope the scenarios depicted in this series never play out for real, but it gives one plenty to chew on!
I had to either break it up into several volumes, or really do a hack job on the outline. I choose the multiple volume route and have been writing ever since!
From that perspective, I'm still working on the first book 3 years later! LOL!
Can't wait for your sequel to EFAD!
I know from experience that they are big, steep mountains too!
I also have absolutely no doubt that you will conquer the summit and attain the view from those heights. EFAD makes that very clear IMHO.
A very merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
Awesome.
Thanks again so much for the kind words. Hope and trust you had a very merry Christmas.
Hey, I noticed that Amazon has your 2nd Edition of EFAD Up, but it is listing it as a completey separate page and calling it a "Mass-Market Paperback". The page for the original is still up on Amazon and indicates the book is out of stock and not available.
On your site, you should link to the new page and include that link in any promotional material. Also, you should have Amazon make sure that all of the reviews now listed on the old link, carry over to the new link and that the sales ranking is a combined total for both. It looks like people are having a hard time finding the new link. They may keep coming to the old link to see if any are available.
Just a couple of thoughts. I am entering my review at the new link so you have a review going. I'll purchase one of the new ones there to to try and get the ball rolling.
