Since when is it OK for the government to get access to private medical information just to see if a crime may have been committed?

Since the HIPAA was passed in 1996 "to insure our privacy".

HIPAA was merely put into effect to 1) line the lawyers pockets 2) to put an inordinate burden on companies and doctor's offices to train, provide new forms, etc. HUGE amounts of money because you have to (gasp) seek out an attorney to even get the TRAINING, not to mention all the freak show forms required now!

HIPAA was Teddy Kennedy's little baby, need I say more?
