Well, it's true that bill & hillary were absolutely furious after 9/11, because Bush got the chance that clinton had been fishing for.

Some people here thought that it was tin-foil-hat stuff to think that clinton's recurrent Executive Orders in case of terrorist attacks which would abrogate the courts and the congress and put all power in the executive branch were some kind of plot. I personally thought it was very likely that clinton hoped to be put in charge as President for Life. That's one reason why he put his woman procurer from the Arkansas State Police in charge of FEMA, and Janet Reno in charge of the Justice Department.

Sure, clinton passed all sorts of emergency measures, and then he started poking the terrorists with a stick, hoping they would do something on his watch. You could see by the expression on hillary's face during Bush's speech to the joint session of congress after 9/11 exactly what she was thinking. "I could have been Empress of the Universe if this had happened a year or two earlier!"

What tools? He cut our military by half and showed terrorists that they could do anything they wanted to Americans (the Cole, WTC I, Somalia etc.) and we'd just sit and wimper in a corner.
