WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Mad cow disease has been found in Washington state, a U.S. industry official said on Tuesday, in what would be the first incidence of the disease in the United States.

The official, who wished not to be identified, said she was unsure of how many cases were found.

Since sheep offal is banned (I believe) in the US as feed, it's cheap, so naturally a dodgy feed company would like to get their hands on it.

Just a guess at what happened.

Strictly speaking, it's really the burger that poses the problem. Greater chance of brain or spinal bits showing up in that than say a steak, which isn't ground up.

An unnamed shemale industry official from an unnamed source told an unnamed reporterette from a møøse-limb news agency that an unknown number of mad-cow cases were found in Washington... just before Christmas vacation....
