a plane on final approach to LaGuardia could veer off and hit the empire state building in about 1-2 minutes. how are you going to shoot it down? This has certainly be a concern of mine. I believe we will eventually have to ban all flights from the middle east. I really don't want them over here anyway.

A flight going into LGA or Kennedy need not go off course since they can easily just dive into Manhattan due to the proximity of the airports to the final approach.
Scary thought to toss on the pile.

Fly Combat Air Patrol (CAP) on the approach over the city. Higher altitude. Just like holding at the outer marker.
