This is silly. A firehouse is different from other public buildings because the firefighters actually live there for the duration of their shifts.

If people are so offended by Xmas displays, then they should go to work (or school) on December 25th. Plus, their friends shouldn't bother giving them any Xmas gifts or cards. Wouldn't want to offend them.
