And I think only the 4th time we've raised the level this high since 9/11. In 26 months, that's not an overuse of the threat level system.

Have to say I did not read all the posts just scanned.
If we were attacked again, Howie Dean would be happy,I can hear him say "See I told you we were not safer after capturing Saddam"
In fact since 9-11, this administration has been saying we very likely would be attacked again, but Howie would use it
as an election tool for himself.
Just my very humble opinion of course.

Good point I looked up the dates of all major conflicts the US has been in an rarely did one ever occur on Sat or Sun.
The politicians seem to stick to M-F and take the week ends off.
So you pointing out that today is Sunday and a day of rest for many of us Christians is a point I will think and wonder about now.
