Good point by Larry Johnson on MSNBC: if the threat is at the highest level since Sept 11th then why are we not at the red level?
Also if its so high then why no specifics? What do they want me to do, stand like a sentry with my hand shielding my eyes from the glare and looking around? Come on.

I believe level red is reserved for actually being under attack.

Quiet you uppity Conservative - if you keep questioning Howdy Doody Ridge, you'll get the Ridge Apologists to flame you. (sarcasm)

Good point by Larry Johnson on MSNBC: if the threat is at the highest level since Sept 11th then why are we not at the red level? My response to this is that we've been keeping the threat level at the wrong level. We should be at level 2 (Guarded) most of the time, and when we get increased chatter we should move to level 3. Instead, we've been at level 3, which only gives us one level of increased caution before going to the top. Level 1 is something we will probably never see again.
