DERRY, N.H. -- Moments after praising his opponents in the Democratic presidential race as worthy running mates, Wesley Clark said, in no uncertain terms, how he would respond if they or anyone else criticized his patriotism or military record.
"I'll beat the s--- out of them," Clark told a questioner as he walked through the crowd after a town hall meeting Saturday. "I hope that's not on television," he added.
It was, live, on C-SPAN.
The campaign's traveling press secretary, Jamal Simmons, was with Clark at the time.
"If anyone tries to question Wes Clark's character, integrity or his commitment to this country or its security, they're going to be in the biggest fight they've ever had," Simmons said.

we'll think they're "real men" if they cuss.Yeh, that will work. (not)
Maybe they should all scratch their nuts and belch as they swear, just to add to the "real men" image!!! Oh, Hillary already does that! ;)

Watch for Gephardt to come out this week and call someone a SOB. Gotta keep up with the Jones, Kerrys, and Clarks.I think they realize their base has a four-letter-word vocabulary. Two-syllable words, they're not communicating with most Democrats.
That's how I see their base!

I loved the guy. And thanks for the link.
My father was a sprinter at Pitt around 1940, and set the world's record in the 60 yard high hurdles (for only about two weeks). He looked very much like Sterling! So thanks!

I had an uncle who was born about the same time and served in the Army in WWII. He had a very similiar appearance to Sterling. He was a single guy for a long time and used that appearance to his advantage.

Driving me crazy for a day now. Is that Sterling Hayden? Probably. It is most definitely General Jack D. Ripper Clark.

Clark: "I would like to direct this to the distinguished members of the panel: You lousy corksuckers. You have violated my farging rights. Dis somanumbatching country was founded so that the liberties of common patriotic citizens like me could not be taken away by a bunch of fargin iceholes...like yourselves."
