"Andersonville," the Swedish shopping district, is on Clark Street, running north from Foster (about 5200-5400 N. Clark). I grew up a couple of miles from there (near Devon & Western), and spent a lot of time in Andersonville. My Swedish grandparents used to take us to the old Villa Sweden restaturant (now Ann Sather's) at Foster & Clark--right next door to the Swedish-American Museum Center mentioned in the articles and photo captions. When I get back up to Chicago now, I like to stop at Wikstrom's Swedish deli and take back a bunch of Swedish food, which is hard to find here in St. Louis.

Chicago is really the Swedish capital of America--even more so than Minneapolis.

If any of you have access to a Chicago Ping List, could you please post a ping on this thread?

It was in this neighborhood that the PigInAPantSuit---HILLARY!----came to on her book tour. Hundreds and hundreds of the sheeple came to stand in line and HOORAY'd Hilliary when she made her Queenly appearance...they loved her...

I hope they have a Merry Christmas...at least the children...

I agree with you on Wikstrom's. I know the people who own the deli. Very lovely people and great food. They have an Internet site and a lot of their sales are now through the Internet. If I can remember their address I will come back and post it on this thread.
