If you read the story on the Sub you will see how Italians were treated on the West Coast. They had to move away from the waterfront (and many were fishermen) and those that had businesses on 1st, 2nd or 3rd Street were out of luck. I don't know how long that lasted...

True enough.. Here is an interesting book. During World War II, some 10,000 Italian immigrants in America were displaced. Another 50,000 lived under curfew. Others spent months or years in internment camps.
