As part of our official Curriculum in NY in the early 1980s we had to take "afro-asian cultures" in which the teacher attempted to use our heads as a trashpail. The jist of the course was American culture is not superior to any thrid world sticks and mud culture, in fact western culture was guilty of slavery and exploitation. Islam is peace, colonialism and imperialism is evil etc.
9/11 has a long heritage, and this was part of it, filling kids' heads with mush to make them unwary of terrorist infiltration.
"Afro asian cultures" as taught in New York in the early 80s was a liberal diatribe about the evils of modern western culture. It is amazing how they taught about the guilt of slavery and exploitation of western culture, and yet they didn't mention that ISLAM tolerates slavery, and hasn't abolished it - (refer to the link below):
