How did the left take over? They were always in power. They just pretended to be moderates.

The only way Democrats can win in an election anymore (Clinton) is to convince everyone they are Republican. Clinton was the last and hopefully it will stay that way.

What scares me the most is people like Soros, though. He's got enough money to buy the election and given his comments, he'd do it by whatever means possible.Soros has been trying to buy election issues in Nevada with his marijuana initiatives. So far he'd have better luck if he dumped his money into a slot machine in Tonopah.

They were always in power. They just pretended to be moderates.True. What puzzles me, however, is why they decided to take the mask off. What is it about this point in history--are they losing power and just getting pissed about it and showing their true colors, or is this an all-or-nothing assault on America?

The Second Coming
William Butler Yeats
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Morris was the expert on "triangulation," and he was largely responsible for clinton's re-election. You're not giving any of the credit to Bob Dole? That hardly seems fair.

Rabid is a great word for those lefties.

Soros is an atheist leftist....he won't be triumphant if good people fight and expose him.

The real truth will be told when the party attempts its cyclical correction, but is unable because the principled (socialist) loyalists are unable to reconcile with the folks who realize what it takes to win an election.
We aren't witnessing the bottoming of a 20-year political cycle for the Dems, more like a 100-year cycle, which equals death for a political ideology and party.
This is simply our version of the destruction of socialism as a hypothesis for how things work.

It seems to me that the McAuliffe/Clinton folks are riding a tiger that they bred, fed, and raised. They've tried to make every single election into a Bush hatefest. And the only thing that's done is lose elections and fire up the far left.

Well, yes, I'll give some credit to Bob Dole. Also to the Chinese Communists. But Morris was doing very well until he was caught sucking toes.

No. Morris is writing for the masses. The uneducated people who saw Clinton as a "regular guy". The ones who got him re-elected. They would hate to hear that they actually elected a disguised liberal. When a president is a "regular guy" like Carter, who was considered the farmer-president, he could have been left of Trotsky and it wouldn't have mattered to the regular people. They like seeing things like Bush working with the logs on his ranch. It makes him more human. Dean probably hasn't done a day's hard labor that they could show because he had to keep his hands pristine for his abortions he won't let the world know about.
What I'm waiting for, is during the debate, Bush to ask the simple question that will kill the Dean campaign in one stroke: "Mr. Dean, we all know you were a doctor prior to your campaign. Did you ever perform an abortion?" Whether he pauses, doesn't answer, beats around the Bush, or answers yes, he's finished. If he answers no, then Bush will pull out someone who he DID perform one on and then he's done.
