"Prior to implantation, there is no pregnancy to abort."
Well, I guess that depends on one's definition. There are many who consider a woman pregnant once the egg has been fertilized. No point in arguing semantics though.
"Plan B" can be just as dangerous if missued as any other drug. Still strange that they want to make this OTC but not birth control pills.

Nobody who has a clue about anything thinks a woman is pregnant before the embryo is implanted. They may think the embryo is a full-fledged human being, just as they think it is when it's in a petri dish or freezer at an IVF clinic, and they may think it's wrong to interfere with implantation, but there is no pregnancy without implantation.
There can be no natural miscarriage or induced abortion prior to implantation, and the risks associated with natural miscarriage are essentially identical to the risks associated with an RU-486-induced abortion. Women can and do die from complications of natural miscarriages if they don't receive adequate medical treatment quickly enough, just as Holly Patterson died after an RU-486-induced abortion because she didn't receive adequate medical treatment quickly enough. It wasn't the RU-486 that killed her -- it was a combination of her delay in seeking medical treatment, and more alarmingly, the hospital's failure to diagnose the seriousness of her condition and sending her home again when she obviously needed to be in the hospital.
