Your theory may be true but I don't think so. It seems to me if they had credible evidence he would have been charged. There could be a national security angle to making charges public but there are legitimate ways to deal with those concerns.

I don't like the idea of the gov't holding people without charges. I may be delusional but I like to think there's still some shred of respect for the Constitution left.
