All ammunition, except ten RPGs, was destroyed in place.
In 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiments areas of responsibility, elements were led to a cache by a local tip. The source stated he knew where an IED was located in Hit and led forces to it. At the site, 200 anti-tank mines and 70 mortar rounds were discovered. In addition, five individuals were captured at the site and are being questioned at a nearby base.
Cooperation efforts between Iraqis and Task Force All American continue to grow, as forces remain committed in providing a more secure environment for the Al Anbar Province.

Bravo!!!But, but, our free press keeps telling us that the Iraqi's don't like us and aren't cooperating. We must be corrupting them with the filthy lure of capitalism! Yeah, that's it...
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
This continual degrading of their weapons stashes is going to have an impact. While there are undoubtably hundreds of caches around the country, accessing them will get more and more problematical for the deadenders....

"or...as the NY Times headline will read "TASK FORCE 'ALL AMERICAN' DISCOVERS FRESHLY DUG EARTH BUT NO WMDS""
I doubt there will be any such headline becuase I doubt the NYT will report this story at all. In my local papers, these Centcom reports of coalition activities receive little or no attention.

WOW, that's a lot of destructive stuff they found. Sounds like the people have decided who the "strong horse" is and are rapidly gaining the courage to take back their country.

If you posted a CENTCOM article I thank you.
I stopped doing FR searches on CENTCOM articles long ago, so I may have easily double posted yours.
In spite of my best efforts to push it, Freepers haven't been much interested in posting CENTCOM, DoD or CJTF 7 news. (^;
I will gladly do a search from now on.

No, don't worry; I just stuck something onto another thread that you had already posted. It didn't really duplicate anything.
