Unfortunately the re-enactment did not go well. The Wright Flyer got to the end of the launch rail and just plopped into a puddle. My biggest fear was that it would fly well but crash at the end of the flight, possibly hurting the pilot. It was great proof of concept, but not a very good aircraft.

Saw the re-enactment on the news. What a thrill the participants must have felt.
