The strapping nationalist lawmaker strode past the television crew camped in front of his office. Not long ago, Dmitri Rogozin would have gladly sought out a chance for some airtime. But not anymore -- not after his Motherland bloc rode a wave of Russian patriotism and disenchantment with Western-style reforms to an impressive showing in last week's parliamentary vote. Now the cameras chase after him.

Lest we forget, opposition to homosexuality does not always translate into an upholding of conservative values - the reason that the left embraces homosexuality has, IMO, far more to do with their opposition to any kind of moral restriction on sexual morality than it does any kind of ideological imperative.
They're cultural Marxists and as such, they need an "oppressed" class to tear down the status quo in the name of. In Russia, Rogozin and his ilk don't have that problem (their goal seems to have more to do with power than it does to social engineering), so they're free to uphold the status quo in this regard.

authoritarian, nationalist, anti-capitalist, anti-constitutionalist, likes coup leaders, hates the Western democracies...Sounds like a definition of a good Soviet to me. His brand of politics probably doesn't include all those BS pretensions to egalitarianism though, so you're probably right, he is a NAZI.
