Deputy Registrar Freepers on the local board both say that it's necessary for her to be a Deputy Registrar by taking a class in order to register votes here.
They go on to say that it is NOT legal that she was "hawking" for Kucinich while trying to register people. No campaign buttons, literature handouts or endorsement of any candidate is to be used when registering voters.
What a great experience this has been! I'm glad it happened as I have gotten some good advice on what is appropriate and legal in this state, and what is not.
I hope to meet some of these local freepers very soon, and follow up with more conversation. AND if I see this again, I will challenge the party affiliation being pushed.
