You would think that a clothing manufacture would offer a catalog featuring models in actual clothing, but not Abercrombie and Fitch.
After much pressure from boycott campaigns, Abercrombie and Fitch stores have finally stopped selling a controversial catalog described by family advocacy groups as pornographic.
Mary Kubasek, Spokeswoman for the National Coalition for the Protection of Children and Families, sees the move as significant but says her group will continue its campaign. Kubasek tells WorldNetDaily, even though they have stopped selling the catalog, the company still issues shopping bags with pictured of half naked men and women on them that can be turned into posters.
Along with sexually explicit images, Abercrombies Christmas Field Guide tells young people "there are no sexual boundaries and no consequences to any sexual behavior," according to the National Coalition for the Protection of Children and Families.
The catalog began its racy approach to marketing in 1998. An order by the Michigan attorney general in 1999 citing a state law barring disseminating, exhibiting and displaying sexual explicit matter to minors forced Abercrombie to limit its sales to people 18 and over and require ID, according to WorldNetDaily.
Abercrombie has also caught criticism from other issue groups. According to WorldNetDaily last year Asian groups boycotted the company for a new line of T-shirts depicting racial stereotypes. One T-shirt read: Wong Brothers Laundry Service. Two Wongs can make it White and showed two smiling men with slanted eyes wearing conical hats. Abercrombie said it thought the shirts were funny but pulled them from its stores.

Wow. Good looking men and women lounging about half-naked can bring about The End of Civilization. Clearly the Islamists should just get naked and we'd all surrender.

This situation clearly illustrates the deceit of the pro-porn libertines who continually deny the negative societal affects of pornography. Usually these perverts are careful to claim that their sexual baselessness extends only to "consenting adults." Their defense of these "catalogs without products" flushes them out since this porn was created for and freely distributed to adolescent and preadolescent children.

And only adults buy Boone's Farm.

Holy cow, I love Boone's Farm. :)
I tried to get one of those final A&F catalogues a week or so ago but the girl in the store informed me that "[she] had to pull them off the shelves a few weeks ago." I was deeply saddened. I was surprised though when she didn't know they were discontinuing the catalogue. Hmmph.

That "Two Wong's can make it White" joke IS hilarious. "Boo-Hoo" I cry for the hurt feelings of millions oforiental people worldwide. I remember hearing that the shirt sold well in Japan, though.
I don't think that they should be publicly advertising using half naked people. I remember when they started the ad campaign, they had a poster that showed a woman's bare breast for all to see on a poster outside the store at the mall. Their excuse; it's the way ads are done in Europe. They're right, but as I have said before, Europeans are weird.

"Europeans are weird."
Everyone is wierd to someone. It just depends on what you are used to. The Islamists think Americans are wierd. Some of them think we are wierd enough to kill.

Along with sexually explicit images, Abercrombies Christmas Field Guide tells young people How can this be, when they've restricted sales of the catalog to those over 18 for the last five years.
Getting sick of this "for the children" fascism.

Not really.

WHAT?!
That was one of the poorest comments ever made to me.
Islamist are crazy, crazy enough to intentionally stretch interpretation of Islam to declare jihad on a nation whose political, economic, and social system they don't agree with. The leadership of the English Catholic church was just as crazy during the times of the crusades.
The Islamists are insane, insane enough to commit mass genocide on there own people (Saddam and the Taliban) in order to establish ill gotten power and save face. Hitler was just as insane.
Islamists don't just think that Americans are wierd enough to kill. Islamists kill out of insane dedication to insane motives. They don't kill only Americans. They kill everyone they don't agree with, whioch is everyone else. They're not picky.
Your comment was poorly thought out and stupid. If it was a joke, it was a bad joke. If it wasn't, you need to think about what you say before you say it.
"'Tis better for a man to keep silent and be thought stupid, than to open his mouth and remove all doubt" -A. Lincoln.
Spend a couple of years in Europe. Europeans are wierd.

I walked into an A&F store recently, and yes the posters were nice, very tasty tatas, and the clothes were all dirty and wrinkled and looked like someone pulled them out of the bottom of a dumpster.
No wonder the models refuse to wear the clothes.
The Victoria's Secret which was nearby on the other hand... tasty clothes, tasty tatas, I could spend days there taking in the eye candy walking into the place.

Abercrombie and Fitch's "policy" may be to restrict it's sale like it's the porn it is, but in reality they sold it to anyone who asked. This filth liters the locker bays of most junior high schools.

"The Islamists are insane, insane enough to commit mass genocide on there own people (Saddam and the Taliban) in order to establish ill gotten power and save face"
Your hyper sensitivity is going to make this difficult for you to understand, but I will attempt. Islamist's are not all insane. Some are, but most simply think Americans are decadent and resent us because they see the spread of western values through satellite TV, movies, and music.
Using such blanket statements such as "Islamist's are insane" shows you have a very narrow and bigoted view of the world. From their prospective Islamics view American culture as insane and view it's defenders as moral enemies, much as you might view European culture and its defenders as moral enemies. This wouldn't make you insane. It would mark you as intolerant and possibly dangerous to those who didn't believe exactly as you do.
People who attack other cultures primarily because they are different or "weird" have often shown a capacity for violence toward others. I was simply pointing out that hostility toward cultures other than ones own is rarely productive.
This doesn't mean you must like other cultures, but tolerance and understanding of others point of view is mutually beneficial.

Some of us have children and are more interested in creating a safe environment for them than lusting after them and perverting them. You obviously wouldn't understand.

Just wondered why you knew so much about what "liters the locker bays of most junior high schools". For all I know you are superintendent of locker bay liter for junior highs in your area. What is obvious is that you have no sense of humor.

OK, OK, before we get any deeper into this argument let's clear something up. ISLAMISTS ARE INSANE, at least using any sensible definition of sanity. ISLAMICS are NOT insane, they simply believe that the Koran is canon and Muhammed is the holiest messenger of Allah. ISLAMISTS don't think that Americans are weird, they skew the teachings of the Koran to identify us as the Great Evil and the Devil, in order to justify blowing themselves up around us and to justify flying planes into our buildings. That's insane. Islamics, more specifically those that live in Third World or otherwise un-Westernised countries, may find us and our culture weird. That's fine, as long as that doesn't revert into thinking we are the Devil and try to blow us up because of it (in which case they would become Islamists). This is not a bigoted view, however it is narrow, because fact tend to be that way.
About the Europeans. It was kind of (and I mean "kind of") a joke at first. I was stationed in Germany for the past few years. During that time I found out that there is alot of thing about Europeans that I like. They are generally the most amicable people I've met, but they dress funny (Queer Eye funny) and they love (LOVE love) techno music (which I find weird). They do some other pretty odd things, too. For example, the Germans banned teaching about Hitler and WWII until university level. There is literally a twenty-five year blank spot in their history books. Why? Because the time in History that is arguably the most important in the shaping of the modern Germany is "embarrassing" to the Germans. I am always surprised that anything gets done in Britain after watching the Parlaiment action. And the French... well they're French. As a result, I find the Europeans weird, although likable.
If you wanted to make a point about hostility toward cultures, you should have said something about my hostility toward the Europeans. I would have said it was a joke, end of discussion.
Choose your words wisely, otherwise you don't make sense. That's the point I was trying to make.
Hope you enjoy my tag-line.
