Sorry but this story sounds like a very cheap plant by the former opposition. AbuNidal was a washed up and very sick ex-terrorist. Why Atta would need anything from that guy is anybody's guess. I also find it kinda suspicious that the very same memo puportedly contained info on the Niger deal.

Sorry, but if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I heard something about this Niger deal yesterday on a news program. The people moving the Niger shipment all got cancer after they finished with job. Questions remain to be answered on this deal.

Why Atta would need anything from that guy is anybody's guess.

Because (a) he and his group had expertise and experience in airline hijackings, (b) he was (as always) allowed to stay in Iraq in trade for access to his terrorist contacts.

At 65 and suffering from cancer, it's not likely that Abu Nidal himself would have trained Atta, but certainly he would have been able to oversee and/or plan the training using his followers and disciples.
