Without looking, I'd bet my house this is an op-ed piece. The Times does publish an occasional oppositional editorial.

Timing is very important in election campaigns. I'll bet this stuff continues to dribble out over the next ten months. Particularly interesting will be the details of what Iraq actual bought with its U.N. sanctioned oil money. An just how corrupt the U.N. was.
